Bequests

Bequests are the most popular form of planned gifts and can be as simple as including one or two sentences in your Will. There are two types of Bequests – Specific Bequests and Residual Bequests. A Bequest to Animal Rescue, Inc. will allow you to achieve a 100% charitable estate tax deduction.

Specific Bequests

Through a Specific Bequest, you can designate all of your estate, a specific dollar amount, a set percentage or specific property to Street Paws, Inc.  Here are some examples of Specific Bequests:

Example #1

“I give, devise and bequeath to Street Paws, Inc., located at 250 Cleveland St., Locust Grove GA. 30248, all of my estate, including real and personal property, to be used for its general purposes.”

Example #2

“I give, devise and bequeath to Street Paws, Inc., located at 250 Cleveland St., Locust Grove GA. 30248, the sum of $________ (_________________ Dollars) to be used for its general purposes.”

Example #3

“I give, devise and bequeath to Street Paws, Inc., located at 250 Cleveland St., Locust Grove GA. 30248, ______ percent (__%) of my estate to be used for its general purposes.”

Example #4

“I give, devise and bequeath to Street Paws, Inc., located at 250 Cleveland St., Locust Grove GA. 30248, [insert description of property or stock] to be used for its general purposes.”

Residual Bequests

Through a Residual Bequest, once all debts, expenses and Specific Bequests are paid from your estate, the remaining amount would be transferred to Street Paws, Inc.  Here are some examples of Residual Bequests:

Example #1

“I give, devise and bequeath to Street Paws, Inc., located at 250 Cleveland St., Locust Grove GA. 30248, all of the rest, residue and remainder of my estate, including real and personal property, to be used for its general purposes.”

Example #2

“I give, devise and bequeath to Street Paws, Inc., located at 250 Cleveland St., Locust Grove GA. 30248, all of my estate, including real and personal property, to be used for its general purposes.”
